I am so glad to be able to be included in this sew-along! I have been hiding a piece of black and pink boucle from myself that I think will be perfect for a Chanel-style jacket. I have enough that I would ultimately also be able to make a skirt to go with it, but I think the fabric would be pretty paired with either a black or grey as well.

I wasn't sure what pattern that I was going to use, but I swung by Hancock's today and picked up Vogue 7975:
I like the shorter version, but am not fond of the patch pockets. The pattern indicates that View C and D have mock welt pockets, but it should be a simple enough thing to change those to actual welt pockets. I also don't know if I will use the front that buttons up, or the one that doesn't. But, since I'll be making a muslin, then I can decide based on that.
I have no idea what to do for buttons or trim, I'm enjoying seeing everyone else's choices, and I am sure you all will inspire me.
I did notice while I was digging the boucle out of the "stash boxes," that I already have a charmeuse with the same colors. I'm not sure if it is "too much" for the lining, but then again...who sees that except for me? Here are the two fabrics together:

I am so excited to get started on this project. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
